Characteristics of Special Motors for Cooling Towers

A cooling tower is a device that cools water. The water exchanges heat and quality with the air flowing through it, causing the water temperature to drop. It is a device that uses water as a circulating coolant to absorb heat from a system and discharge it into the atmosphere to reduce the temperature below; its cooling is to use water and air flow to exchange cold and heat to generate steam. The principle of convection heat transfer and radiation heat transfer is to dissipate the waste heat generated in the industry or refrigeration and air conditioning to lower the water temperature by evaporative heat dissipation device to ensure the normal operation of the system.


The cooling tower motor is modified in various aspects on the basis of the original cooling tower. For example, a modification such as replacing the original fan motor with a water turbine is a very correct modification, which makes the cooling tower we use now. The motor can have such a good use effect, so the cooling tower has been an obvious improvement from the previous development to the present. The cooling tower motor has the following characteristics.


1. Energy saving of cooling tower motor


The cooling tower uses a water turbine to replace the fan blade motor, which completely saves the operation power consumption of the fan blade motor, and does not increase the running current of the circulating water pump, saving a huge amount of electricity for users.


2. The cooling tower motor has no noise


The energy conversion of the water turbine is completed in the water channel, and the motor and reducer are eliminated. The cooling tower motor eliminates low-frequency electromagnetic sound and greatly reduces mechanical noise.


3. Efficient cooling tower motor


The turbine shaft directly drives the fan without going through other reducers, etc., and the air volume changes accordingly with the change of the water flow, which is always stable at a good air-water ratio to ensure the heat dissipation effect.


4. The cooling tower motor has a long service life


The structure of the turbine is simple, the technology is sophisticated and feasible, and the overall planned operating life is more than 15 years. The turbine casing is a mixed structure of casting and welding, and the welded steel plate is a special steel plate imported for boilers with a manganese content of 3.5%, which is not easy to corrode after long-term use.


The high utilization rate of special motors for cooling towers is closely inseparable from the advantages of the equipment itself.
