The Difference Between Closed Cooling Tower and Open Cooling Tower in Application

The function of the cooling tower is to help the production company maintain the temperature of the machinery and cool down the various machines. Therefore, cooling towers are very important for industrial production. It can even be said that industrial production without cooling towers will stagnate. Many cooling tower factories prefer to choose closed type cooling towers when choosing cooling towers.

1. Closed type cooling tower has better antifreeze function

As we all know, cooling towers are mainly divided into two types. One is an open cooling tower and the other is a closed type cooling tower. The closed type cooling tower has great advantages. It's like talking about antifreeze work. The reason is that the closed type cooling tower is fully enclosed when it is working, and the heat preservation work is done very well.

When the open cooling tower is working, the water in the machine is in greater contact with the outside air, so it may be subject to freezing. This is one of the differences between the two cooling towers.

2. The disassembly of open cooling towers is easier

The drainage work of open cooling towers is difficult to complete. The reason is that the heat exchange tubes inside the open cooling towers are relatively long, and a large amount of water will remain in them when draining. The closed type cooling tower is different. When the closed type cooling tower is used to drain water, heat will be emitted in the heat exchange tube. In this way, not only can the amount of water be removed, but also the internal moisture can be evaporated to ensure that there is no moisture in it.


But it is not to say that open cooling towers do not have any advantages. The assembly and disassembly of closed type cooling towers are very complicated, and there is no simple cooling tower. This is the big advantage of open cooling towers, so when choosing these two cooling towers, you must carefully consider which one to use to better meet the needs of the production work.
